Snowboarding Holidays In Austria
With picture postcard Tyrolean towns and beautiful mountain peaks,
Austria has a multitude of resorts with perfect pistes. From snow-sure
resorts, to lower picturesque villages, the modern lift systems
in Austria are a snowboarder's dream with many resorts favouring
modern chairlift systems and gondolas to get up the mountain. Many
resorts tend to be more traditional in Austria, slopes are better
laid out than its rivals elsewhere in Europe and we can see why
it`s so popular. Famous for its beer and fun après-board, Austria
has a good mix of lively and family orientated resorts with welcoming
hospitality - great for our boardyeti customers.
The lively premier snowboarding resort of St. Anton offers the
best terrain around, it has the reputation of being one of Europe`s
most prestigious resorts, being best suited to intermediates and
advanced boarders. Innsbruck is the snowboarding capital and the
glacier pass gives you access to 8 local resorts in the area. If
you prefer something a bit more low-key or family orientated, we
have selected the best resorts within your ability, so whether you
are beginners, intermediates or advanced we have something for everyone.
As with all of our recommended places to stay, our selected properties
are right on the slopes or at least a stone's throw away, we don’t
believe in travelling miles by bus to get to the piste. A few resorts
we feature even have excellent indoor family friendly pool complexes
with lazy rivers and water slides to keep the young ones entertained
after a day on the slopes; many have excellent spa facilities and
indoor pools to relax and unwind.
Groups are well catered for in Austria`s nightlife capitals of
Solden and St Anton and lively Zell Am See is a popular choice with
the British, ensuring fun into the early hours at the numerous clubs
and lively bars.
With over 75 resorts in Austria (far too many to list!), we are
sure to have something for you.
